With five generations of experience, Fullers has always maintained a stable workforce. Traditional skills, many of which have been discarded by the industry as modern materials have taken over, are still taught and practiced by our craftspeople.
The company was established by Edward Fuller in 1872 and with an uninterrupted trading history of 145 years, continues to be managed by the same family to this day. Throughout our long trading period, we have maintained an unrivalled reputation for quality and reliability and have established trading relationships with customers that span more than half a century.
We have our own in-house joinery that can manufacture matching timber profiles and bespoke items using good quality, sustainably sourced timber, and can obtain sympathetic materials such as naturally hydraulic lime to ensure that as much of the historic fabric of a structure can be maintained. The use of traditional materials and methods can be combined with modern techniques to comply with today’s building standards. Our experience allows us to determine the best methods to achieve the desired appearance.
We estimate, during our long history, we have carried out projects with a cumulative overall value of over £400m. In a typical trading year we will complete £5m of restoration works, mostly to historic buildings. Because of the specialised nature of our business, each project is unique; and our experience is always interesting and varied. Each project is supervised by our experienced on-site managers and overseen by our upper management team based in Walthamstow
