Joe started his career in construction full-time fairly late in life, having previously worked for numerous companies in the South East, before cementing a career in Carpentry and more recently in Site Management.
Back in his home county of Kent, summer holidays were spent working for Hooper and Sons Ltd, a civil engineering contractor, which provided him with a good early understanding of construction techniques. In 2011, after a number of years working in other sectors, Joe completed a diploma in Carpentry at The Building Crafts College, Stratford whilst working for a small joinery company in Peckham-Rye.
Joe joined Fullers (Builders) Ltd in August 2012 working as a Restoration Carpenter for the next 5 years, gaining a wealth of experience from the team at Fullers. Joe graduated in 2017 with a BSc (Hons) in Surveying from LSBU, which was undertaken on day release and served as a stepping stone into Site Management at Fullers.
Memorable Project:
My first Job at Fullers as a Carpenter was at Wilton’s Music Hall, and my first job as a manager was at Shoreditch Town Hall, however my favourite job has to be Sandycombe Lodge, Twickenham for the attention to detail and historical importance as the once home of the most famous British Landscape painter, William Turner.
